■ Background and purpose of the capital and business alliance

Our company develops and provides "booost Sustainability," an integrated SX platform and sustainability ERP* that automates the collection and aggregation of sustainability information corresponding to over 1,200 data points including environmental, social, and governance aspects, in accordance with international disclosure standards, and enables real-time monitoring. "booost Sustainability" is equipped with globally compatible data governance functions, enabling the implementation of multi-layered approval flows within organizations including groups and supply chains, and is a platform designed to support third-party assurance, etc. It comprehensively provides functions to streamline and optimize each operation that arises in disclosing sustainability information, at each phase. Since its launch, it has been adopted by more than 2,000 companies and over 180,000 locations in more than 80 countries, mainly large corporations (as of the end of October 2024). We also operate a sustainability consulting business, supporting companies in the SX (Sustainability Transformation) domain and contributing to the enhancement of corporate value.

Recently, domestic and international trends regarding the disclosure of sustainability information have become more active, with regulatory bodies such as the ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board), CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), and SSBJ (Sustainability Standards Board of Japan) advancing. In response to these trends, we have entered into business partnership agreements with BIPROGY and Persol Business Process Design to support Sustainability Development (SX) starting with the disclosure of sustainability information by more companies. Through strong partnerships with both companies, we will promote the widespread adoption of our integrated SX platform, the sustainability ERP* "booost Sustainability," and contribute to the advancement of sustainable management.

■ Trends in Sustainability Information Disclosure in Japan and Overseas

Trends regarding the disclosure of sustainability information, both domestically and internationally, have become increasingly active recently. The Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure (CSRD), initiated by the European Commission, will begin to be applied to some companies from fiscal year 2024, and in some cases, Japanese companies with local subsidiaries in Europe will be subject to it. In addition, the ISSB formulated the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards in June 2023, which came into effect on January 1, 2024.

Domestically, the Sustainability Standards Board of Japan (SSBJ) is developing the SSBJ Standard, which is positioned as the Japanese version of the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standard. It is expected that from the fiscal year ending March 2027, disclosure will be mandatory in securities reports for companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market with a market capitalization of 3 trillion yen or more, and this will be expanded to companies with a market capitalization of 1 trillion yen or more in the fiscal year ending March 2028. As disclosure in securities reports requires the compilation of information on trading partners, companies are urgently facing the need to accelerate disclosure preparations, build internal controls that anticipate third-party assurance requirements, and develop an integrated infrastructure for sustainability information covering both domestic and international markets.

Furthermore, sustainability information provides insights into a company's future sustainability-related risks and opportunities. To achieve sustainability management aimed at long-term corporate value enhancement, it is crucial to actively utilize this data in business strategies. To truly realize Sustainability, leading sustainability companies are beginning to strategically utilize sustainability information in their management, in addition to financial information, going beyond simply using data for disclosure operations.

As a driving force behind the SX Project, our company will contribute to global companies that are proactively addressing sustainability, and we will strive to accelerate the realization of sustainability in Japan.
