By utilizing "booost GX," one of the applications of "booost Sustainability," which visualizes CO2 emissions, performs carbon offsetting, and provides reporting, we will enable efficient management of CO2 emissions generated from business activities at all of ST Corporation's domestic and international subsidiaries, group companies, factories, and other locations, thereby supporting the company's GX promotion.

The ST Group has long been working to reduce CO2 emissions as part of its climate change initiatives, and is promoting the transition of purchased electricity to renewable energy, with the goal of achieving carbon zero by 2050. We have been working on Scope 1 and 2 calculations using our own proprietary system, but in anticipation of implementing Scope 3 calculations and responding to disclosure requests, we have decided to introduce "booost Sustainability (booost GX)," which we developed and operate.
Comment from the person in charge at ST Corporation
The demand for sustainability information disclosure is increasing year by year, and there is a need to ensure reliability and expedite disclosure. In response to these demands, and in order to properly manage environmental indicators such as GHGs, we considered introducing a new tool and ultimately decided to implement "booost GX".
We selected this tool with a wide range of applications in mind, including the immediate challenge of calculating Scope 3 emissions and the future comprehensive management of ESG indicators. The track record of "booost GX," its future potential for feature expansion, and the flexible and courteous response of the person in charge were the deciding factors in our selection. Going forward, we will use "booost GX" to promote GHG management in our supply chain and work even harder towards achieving carbon zero.
With the slogan "Let's change the air," we own numerous unique brands that hold a high market share in niche markets, including the deodorizing and air freshening agent "Shoshuriki," the insect repellent "Mushuda," the deodorizer "Dashutan," the dehumidifier "Drypet," and the rice container insect repellent "Kometoban." We create new markets by leveraging our unique new technologies in the air business, and we brighten and energize our customers' lives.
